This guide is for the Minum Archery Simulator 1.0, our original DIY version. While it can still be built with parts sourced from numerous other vendors, we now offer our Minum Archery Simulator 2.0! It is a complete redesign for better performance, ease of use, and portability.

Order Simulator 2.0 Complete Package

Build Guide: Bill of Materials

Bill of Materials and Tools Required

98" IR (infrared) touch frame
Qty: 1
Source**: eBay (I used this one but many appear comparable)
Notes: Specifically this should be the style without any glass already attached.  Usually these come as just the sidebars of the frame shipped in a tube.

**We also now have sensors available directly from us!

6'x8' (cut size) 22 oz vinyl tarp - white
Qty: 2
Source: Tarp Nation
Notes: Grommets should be spaced about every foot.  It is recommended to purchase two of these to layer one behind the other and then rotate occasionally for improvedstrength and longevity.

Makerpipe T Connectors
Qty: 20
Source: Makerpipe

Makerpipe End Plugs
Qty: 1 pack of 10
Source: Makerpipe

3/4" x 10' EMT Conduit
Qty: 10
Source: Your local hardware store
Notes: 3/4" EMT conduit has a "trade size" of 3/4" but the outside diameter is actually just under an inch.

1x2 Boards
Qty: 4
Source: Your local hardware store
Notes: Does not need to be high quality. Furring strip is okay.

1x3 Boards
Qty: 4
Source: Your local hardware store
Notes: Does not need to be high quality. Furring strip is okay.

6" Flat Corner Braces
Qty: 4
Source: Your local hardware store
Notes: Size does not need to be exact. Be sure to read ahead to make sure they will work before purchasing a different size.

5/8" wood screw
Qty: 1 box
Source: Your local hardware store

9" Ball Bungees
Qty: 28
Source: Amazon (I used these but many appear comparable)
Notes: Adjust quantity as needed to be one bungee per grommet. A few extra for replacements down the line wouldn't hurt though.

3/4" wide velcro
Qty: 6 feet
Source: Your local hardware store
Notes: Length does not need to be exact.

Singe Hold Conduit Straps for 3/4" EMT Conduit
Qty: ~10-15
Source: Your local hardware store
Notes: Quantity does not need to be exact.

Rebar J-shaped Ground Stakes
Qty: 6
Source: Amazon (I used these but many appear comparable)

60' USB Extension Cord (or Cat5 USB Extender and Cat5e cable)
Qty: 1
Source: Amazon ( used this one but many appear comparable)
Notes: Allows for computer to be back with you at the shooting line.

Powered USB Hub (not required if using Cat5 USB Extender above)
Qty: 1
Source: Amazon (I used this one but many appear comparable)
Notes: Number of ports does not matter, we just need the extra power boost to adequately power the touch frame.

60' HDMI Cable
Qty: 1
Source: Amazon
Notes: Allows for computer to be back with you at the shooting line.

HDMI Projector
Qty: 1
Source: Amazon
Notes: Purchase a reputable brand of at least 3500 lumens for outdoor use. Brighter is better. Pay attention to throw angle and try to find something that will be 98" about 5' away from the screen.

10x10 Popup Tent with Sidewalls (dark colored to block more sunlight)
Qty: 1
Source: Eurmax
Notes: Setting up the rig inside this tent will make the projection more visible outdoors during the day.  Can pass on this purchase if you set up in a wood shed, basement, or other type of sunlight blocking shelter.

Saunders Bludgeon Screw-in Small Game Blunt
Qty: 4+
Source: Amazon
Notes: I recommend having around 4 per person that will be shooting at a time. Though MinumOS will allow you to shoot only 1 arrow per round so you could make do with only 1 per person.

Laptop Computer
Qty: 1

Extension Cords for Computer, Projector, and Powered USB Hub
Qty: 3 or 2 w/ splitter.
Source: Your local hardware store.
